March 24, 2016: Sirius Computer Solutions to Acquire Force 3

Sirius Computer Solutions has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the network security company, Force 3. The acquisition, which is scheduled to close on March 31, allows Sirius to expand its security and networking capabilities – particularly in the Federal sector – and extend its geographic reach in the Mid-Atlantic region. The acquisition is scheduled to close on March 31, 2016.

“Force 3 is viewed by many manufacturers as one of the most skilled Federal partners in networking and security. Our clients will benefit from strengthened engineering skills in these areas, as well as additional contract vehicles that are available to help Federal, state and local governmental clients simplify the process of acquiring the solutions they need.” –Joe Mertens, President and CEO, Sirius

Founded by Rocky Cintron in 1991, Force 3 is viewed by many manufacturers as one of the most skilled Federal partners in security and networking. Force 3 has several hundred clients, approximately 170 employees, and approximately $260 million in revenue, with their headquarters in Crofton, Maryland and an office in the Washington, D.C. area.

Our clients will benefit from strengthened engineering skills in these areas, as well as additional contract vehicles that are available to help Federal, state and local governmental clients simplify the process of acquiring the solutions they need. Specifically, Force 3 is a prime contract holder for GSA Schedule 70, NETCENTS-2, SEWP V, NIH ECS III, CIO-CS, and was just awarded the ITES-3H. This combined with Sirius’ deep skills in software solutions and services – as well as broad solution offerings across even more leading manufacturers – will strengthen our ability to provide the experience and the expertise in next-generation network security technology, customized to meet your needs in an evolving security threat landscape.

In the near future, Force 3 will continue to operate as a separate legal entity, retaining the Force 3 name as A Sirius Computer Solutions Company.

This acquisition will strengthen Sirius’ solutions portfolio, particularly in the Federal space:

  • Federal and Government Solutions
  • Federal Contracting Capabilities
  • Information Security
  • Software-Defined Networking
  • Secure Collaboration/UC
  • Enterprise Networking
  • Data Center Solutions
