SVP of Sales
Rick Bailer has responsibility for Sirius’ Business Innovation practices that focus on software and services associated with Digital Transformation and Data & Analytics solutions. Business Innovation has a combined pre-sales support and services team of over 400 team members, with roughly half in the United States and the other half in Chennai, India.
Mr. Bailer began his career at IBM. He worked there for 19 year in sales, staff and management positions in the field sales organization, and at IBM Global Financing (IBM Credit Corporation) headquarters, where among other positions he was the lead trader for used mainframes.
In 2000, Mr. Bailer joined Denver Systems Group (DSG) as vice president of Sales, with responsibility for the Central and Eastern divisions. DSG focused on selling IBM mainframe hardware and software solutions with associated storage, maintenance and services. While at DSG, Mr. Bailer’s leadership helped grow the company’s total revenue more than fourfold in just three years.
When Sirius acquired DSG in 2004, Mr. Bailer joined Sirius as vice president of Sales for the East and Central regions of the newly formed Sirius Enterprise Systems Group (SESG). In 2005, he assumed sales and profit responsibility for all of SESG, and was a key player in the integration of SESG into Sirius. He met this challenge with a strong ability to lead and communicate with client executives, system engineers, the Operations team, and most importantly, clients.
Mr. Bailer earned a BS in Economics and an MBA, both from the University of Rochester.
