Hemant Kapadia joined Sirius as chief financial officer in October, 2019. During his career he has worked with companies ranging from startups to Fortune 50 companies.
Mr. Kapadia began his career as a research engineer initially with a startup technology company and then with General Electric. After securing his MBA, he joined GE’s Audit Staff and then went on to serve in several finance/leadership roles at GE Corporate, Appliances, Consumer & Industrial, and GE Security. While at GE Security he was part of the team that sold the business to United Technologies. Mr. Kapadia joined MEMC as divisional CFO, where he was instrumental in a subsidiary IPO of the Semiconductor division (NASD: SEMI). Following the sale of the business, he became the CFO for Mark Andy, a privately held manufacturing and distribution company in St. Louis, where he completed several acquisitions growing the business by more than 50%.
Originally from London, England, Mr. Kapadia earned his BS in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1987. He earned his MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1999.
