As senior vice president of Sales Strategy and Planning, Dan Weiss is responsible for sales forecasting, sales compensation planning, sales team enablement and performance management. Mr. Weiss joined Sirius as vice president of Sales Strategy for the East Region after Sirius’ acquisition of Varrow, Inc. in 2015. At Varrow, he was a co-founder and served as the company’s chief financial officer and executive vice president of Services, as well as other key roles and responsibilities.
Mr. Weiss began his career in 1989, founding a successful point-of-sale software company while still attending college. After transitioning the organization toward manufacturing and distribution customers, he founded and was president of Carolina Computer Consultants, a successful Computer Associates software partner providing business solutions for midsize businesses in the Carolinas.
After selling the business in 1998, Mr. Weiss joined Moore & Van Allen, PLLC, an Am Law 200 firm headquartered in Charlotte, NC, where he led a team of technical professionals who architected, managed and supported all of the firm’s major IT functions. During his seven years in that role, his team dramatically improved the firm’s IT platform, security posture, service levels, and data integrity.
Mr. Weiss graduated with a double major in Accounting and Information Systems from Appalachian State University, and is an active member of various civic and charitable groups including Habitat for Humanity and the Afterschool Backpack Program.
