Sirius Federal, a CDW Company, a leading national IT solutions integrator for the federal government, announced today that it has been awarded the distinguished Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 certification.

The CMMI certification was created by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) to identify organizations that consistently deliver quality software on time and within budget. CMMI is a proven and accepted standard for improving an organization’s capabilities and optimizing its business performance.

The Capability Maturity Model Integration Institute awards this highly regarded certification to a select few organizations that have gone through a rigorous appraisal process. This appraisal process, which can take up to 20 months to complete, was performed by Steel Toad Consulting, who worked closely with Sirius Federal’s dedicated appraisal team to ensure that every process and practice area was represented.

Sirius Federal has been appraised at Maturity Level 3, characterizing its capabilities and performance. A CMMI Maturity Level 3 rating indicates that Sirius Federal:

  • Uses organizational standards to address project and work characteristics.
  • Ensures that projects use and contribute to organizational assets.
  • Is focused on achieving both project and organizational performance objectives.
  • Is dedicated to continuous performance improvement and producing high-quality products and services.

“Sirius Federal has proved that it has robust business and services delivery processes that other organizations can rely on,” said Jason Parry, senior vice president of Sirius Federal. “The CMMI Level 3 certification reinforces Sirius Federal’s dedication to continuous performance management and improvement, producing the highest quality solutions and services.”
