This month, Sirius turns 40!
Founded in San Antonio, Texas in 1980 as Star Data Systems, Sirius has grown to be one of the largest IT solutions integrators in the U.S., specializing in IT Strategy (Infrastructure and Operations), Security, Business Innovation (Digital and Data), and Cloud & Managed Solutions.
Sirius has remained competitive for 40 years by partnering with the nation’s top technology brands to provide the optimal solutions for more than 5,400 active clients, by acquiring successful regional and specialty solution providers, and by hiring the brightest minds in the business to ensure client satisfaction.
In addition to partnering with more than 600 of the nation’s top manufacturers, Sirius has also expanded its offerings and expertise in key solution areas through acquisition, including the purchase of eight companies since 2014: Brightlight Consulting, Avnet, Inc.’s digital solution services, Varrow, Force 3, thinkASG, Continuum Security Solutions, Forsythe, and Advanced Systems Group.
As a result, the Sirius team has grown to more than 2,600 employees in the U.S., Canada and India. In addition to earning more than 5,500 professional and technical certifications, the Sirius team is also recognized annually with awards from our top partners—including AWS, Cisco, IBM, Nutanix, Red Hat and Veritas. In October, Sirius received its seventh consecutive Triple Crown Award from CRN, which recognizes the nation’s top solution providers based on revenue, growth and technical expertise.
