Sirius Managed Services ranked No. 1 in what is widely viewed as the industry’s most comprehensive global survey of managed service providers (MSPs): Channel Futures’ MSP 501 2018 Edition.
Sirius and the other top-ranked MSPs garnered their positions because of their “forward-thinking business strategies and ability to anticipate and act upon trends in the fast-evolving IT channel market,” according to an article authored by Channel Futures Content Director Kris Blackmon.
In the 2017 competition, formerly called MSPmentor 501, Sirius placed first and the former Forsythe Technologies, acquired by Sirius last year, came in fifth.
In the June 25 announcement article (linked above), Blackmon explains the criteria for the rankings: “This year’s applicant pool was the largest and most diverse in the history of the survey, and our winners represent the health and progressivity of the managed services market. They’re growing their revenue, expanding their customer influence and exploring new technology that will propel them for years to come.”
Channel Futures teamed with Clarity Channel Advisors, a third-party analytics firm to evaluate the participants from both a quantitative and qualitative standpoint. Clarity is a Quincy, MA company that provides data-driven insights to MSPs through its Clarity Intelligence Platform. Channel Futures will release a detailed study this fall that is largely based on information pulled from the participants’ lengthy applications and other sources.
Introducing Sirius as the top ranked MSP in a Tuesday afternoon podcast (which will be available in the near future on the Channel Futures’ website), Channel Futures editors summarized Sirius by citing its recently unveiled MemorialCare Technology and Training Center Powered by Sirius as well as Sirius’ 2017 acquisition of Forsythe, which doubled its managed services capabilities.
An award ceremony will take place at Channel Partner Evolution, Oct. 9-12, in Philadelphia, PA. Sirius Executive Vice President of Cloud and Managed Services Michael Conley will be among the speakers.
Upon hearing the news of the ranking, Conley said, “We are honored and appreciative of the tremendous work that went into creating this transparent ranking survey.
