In 2016, Sirius launched its Women’s Forum – an internal organization designed to promote awareness and growth for women in technology. The goal of the Women’s Forum is to embark on specific activities, tasks and behavioral changes that help develop, grow and empower women, individuals and leaders at Sirius, and focuses on initiatives that create interest and inspire diversity for both men and women.

Sirius is proud to be the first channel partner to sponsor the Career Pursuits Workshop, which will take place in Napa, California on Tuesday, May 16 during the Women of the Channel Leadership Summit West. The one day workshop will host 20 young women from University of California Berkley, and 10 high achieving science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) focused women from local high schools, and is designed to provide education about exciting career possibilities in technology. The event also gives students the opportunity to interact and network with female leaders at Sirius. Two of Sirius’ top female executives – Deborah Bannworth, Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances and Inside Sales, and Debbie Dove Larson, Vice President of Sales – will be featured keynote speakers during the workshop.

 

More About Deborah Bannworth and Debbie Dove Larson 

Deborah Bannworth
Sr. VP of Strategic Alliances & Inside Sales, Sirius

Deborah Bannworth began her career in IT sales immediately following her graduation from The University of Texas at Austin in 1989. After joining Sirius’ Open Systems team in 1997 as its first full-time sales rep, she was soon promoted to Area Sales Manager, where she helped the company achieve recognition as the nation’s top seller of RS/6000 servers.

Bannworth has held positions as Vice President of Sales for the East and North Regions where she helped grow revenue by over $275 million, and later contributed more than $250 million to Sirius’ bottom line. In 2014 she spearheaded Sirius’ new inside sales division, and currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances and Inside Sales for Sirius, with responsibility for maintaining relationships with Sirius’ primary vendors.

 

Debbie Dove Larson
VP of Sales, North Central Region, Sirius

Debbie Dove Larson joined Sirius in 1991 where she been instrumental to the company’s growth in the North Central Region. Larson has held positions in sales and sales management during her tenure at Sirius, and continues to be a tireless sales advocate on a constant mission to improve Sirius’ client experience. Larson is both a leader and significant contributor to many of Sirius’ business improvement projects, and holds one of the company’s top records for year-over-year quota attainment.

Larson earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Baylor University and currently serves as the Vice President of Sales for Sirius’ North Central Region.
