MSPmentor501_2016 Edition_CMYK_taglineSirius Managed Services was recently ranked 3rd in a comprehensive list of the top managed services providers worldwide in the 2016 MSPmentor 501 Global Edition.  The well-known annual ranking of the top managed services providers is published by MSPmentor, a Penton Technology channel brand and online community.

To qualify for consideration on the 2016 MSP 501, participants were required to submit confidential applications complete with their 2015 financials confirmed by a certified financial professional.

The rankings were based on a transparent methodology that took into consideration such things as business models, technologies, vertical markets and customer segments, revenue streams and growth, among other criteria. “On behalf of Penton and MSPmentor, I would like to congratulate Sirius Computer Solutions for its recognition as an MSP 501 honoree,” said MSPmentor Editor in Chief Aldrin Brown, in a written release. “The managed service provider market is evolving at a rapid pace and the companies showcased on the 2016 MSP 501 list represent the most agile, flexible and innovative organizations in the industry.”

The methodology and an adjoining study were developed by market consulting firm Clarity Channel Advisors in partnership with MSPmentor editors for greater accuracy and thoroughness, according to authorities at MSPmentor. Clarity is a Quincy, MA company that provides data-driven insights to MSPs through its Clarity Intelligence Platform. A study was issued along with the list (registration and login required) based on information pulled from the participants’ applications and other sources.

When determining a candidate’s ranking for the 2016 MSP 501 study, MSPmentor and Clarity put the highest value on revenue generated from true managed and cloud services. Revenue from professional services was given a lower weighting, followed by revenue generated from consulting and finally hardware and software reselling.
