Sirius is proud to announce that senior technologist Jerry J Petru has been awarded the prestigious status of Chartered Fellow by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
As a Fellow of BCS, Jerry has demonstrated authority, eminence and seniority in the IT profession, lived up to a code of professional ethics, and committed to continuous professional development.
Originally called the “British Computer Society,” the organization changed its name to “BCS – The Chartered Institute for IT” in 2009 to reflect its wider role and growing international presence. BCS is the leading professional body and a learned society that represents those working in Computer Science and Information Technology with a worldwide membership of over 82,000 members in more than 100 countries.
Jerry currently manages the IBM Power portfolio of solution offerings at Sirius Computer Solutions, where he uses his broad-based experience to evaluate large corporate systems and identify operating system and software issues between different hardware platforms. He has a proven track record of success in designing and implementing system security, high availability, disaster recovery and long-range strategic plans for FORTUNE 100 companies.
