Executive Bio: Deborah L. Bannworth, SVP of Strategic Alliances and Inside Sales

In 2014, Deborah Bannworth was named to spearhead Sirius’ Inside Sales division with responsibility for structuring and managing this new area of the company. She also now helps to maintain relationships with Sirius’ primary vendors, and her strong heritage within Sirius makes her the perfect liaison for its most important vendor relationships.

Ms. Bannworth began her career in IT sales immediately after graduating from The University of Texas at Austin in 1989, when she joined ProAmerica in Dallas as a sales rep specializing in IBM UNIX systems and the IBM RS/6000 server line. In 1997, she joined the Sirius Open Systems team as its first full-time sales rep.

In 2000, Ms. Bannworth was promoted to area sales manager, where she helped grow Sirius sales of IBM Open Systems servers until the company was named the nation’s top seller of RS/6000 servers.

In 2004, Ms. Bannworth was promoted to vice president of Sales for the entire East region, and under her leadership, revenue in the region grew to over $275 million. When the region was split into two in 2010, she was named vice president of Sales for the new Northeast region, which spanned 10 states and contributed more than $250 million to Sirius’ bottom line.
