Executive Bio: Becky Murphy, SVP of Sales, Southwest Region

Becky Murphy began her career in the technology industry in 1987 when she joined IBM, where she would hold various sales leadership positions including manager of Retail Sales, business unit executive for the AS/400 product line, and client executive for Sirius Computer Solutions. In her six years as the Sirius client executive, Mrs. Murphy helped the company grow its IBM content from $150 million to over $400 million. In this time, Sirius was recognized as a leader in the Channel community of IBM.

Mrs. Murphy joined Sirius in 2007 as vice president of Sales for the Southwest Region and was tasked with growing the Sirius business in this nine-state region. With her relationships at IBM, she had immediate success and began to build a sales team to deliver growth and increase Sirius’ market share.

Today, Mrs. Murphy leads the sales team covering the Southwest Region, including Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and parts of Missouri and Wyoming. The sales team consists of 35 sellers, covering approximately 375 clients in this geography and delivering approximately $180 million of business. The strategic focus for this team is to continue to deliver results in all of the company’s growth areas. Her team has continued to perform with double-digit compounded annual growth.

Originally from Mississippi, Mrs. Murphy attended Mississippi State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture and Life Sciences.
